My Review: Nick Cannon at Gotham Comedy Club 1

So I had the pleasure of getting to see Nick at his final show at Gotham Comedy Club on October 16th. Opening up the show was Henry Moore. I recognized his face from late night comedy shows on television. Although a recognizable face I was unsure what to expect. Needless to say I was impressed> He had great interaction with the crowd and his jokes were hilarious. My personal vote is that he should definitely be heading to Vegas when Nick tapes his special.

After Henry was Pastor Kase. Pastor Kase’s intro song as he made his way to the stage was the edited version of Rick Ross f. Styles P “Blowin’ Money Fast”. He took the crowd was his congregation and we didn’t mind one bit. It definitely wasn’t a “nothing but the devil” kind of situation.

Once Pastor Kase was done it was time for Mr. Headliner himself. The crowd gave a rousing applause as he made his way to the stage. I had no doubt that Nick was going to be hilarious but he definitely surpassed my expectations. Nick touches on married life to Mariah Carey (she’s so East Coast Gangsta! lol). His imitation of her when she’s kept waiting is beyond priceless. Beyond speaking about married life he also touches on other hilarious family members, how some of his famous friends reacted to the news of his marriage and so much more. I don’t want to give too much away but I suggest you head to the closest upcoming show in your area. Trust me when I tell you it’s gonna be worth it.

A special shout out goes to Jack Thriller who did Nick’s Thisis50 interview. He’s absolutely hilarious and is going to make a great addition to the new Wild N Out. Thanks for the laughs!!

*Nick prior to his last set of the night headed over to The Darby to wish Andre Harrell a Happy 50th Birthday. Mr. Harrell was one of the well wishers who stopped by Lavo’s to wish Nick a Happy 30th Birthday.*
