Nick & Mariah’s One Year Love Story

Mr. and Mrs. Cannon celebrated their 1 year anniversary last night at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. The happy couple invited close friends and family, while they danced the night away gazing into each other’s eyes.

The event began promptly with cocktails at 8pm, before the guests entered the fireplace-warmed room for dinner at 8:30pm. Afterwards, dessert in the form of a beautiful vanilla-iced anniversary cake adorned by two caged edible lovebirds was served. But the real fun began after dinner when the party got started at The Moon Lounge. Of course, Nick Cannon was spinning on the 1 and 2s to a packed crowd, before he surprised everyone with a videotape he put together commemorating the couple’s first year.

VIP attendees included Sanaa Lathan, Tyrese, Andre Harrell, Def Jam president L.A. Reid, BET’s own Stephen Hill, director Sanaa Hamri, and Giant Editor-In-Chief Emil Wilbekin. But the biggest celebrity of all was still the guest of honor, Ms. Mariah Carey, who looked stunning. The two received a wealth of gifts from their guests, including his and her baseballs caps, and a blinged out toaster courtesy of Mr. Stephen Hill.

Cannon dedicated the Angel champagne toast to his wife, before a balloon drop. The happy hubby arranged for the roof to open so hundreds of balloons could be released over Las Vegas.

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey wed last April in the Bahamas, after the couple had been dating a short while. Since then, they’ve been spotted all over by paparazzi basking in the glow of their newlywed status.
