From Clueless to Reality TV For Ms. Dash
March 12, 2010 2 Comments“Clueless” star Stacey Dash says she’s about to headline her own VH1 reality show. VH1, however has a slightly different take on the matter.
The friendly folks at “The Wendy Williams Show” blasted out a release Thursday saying Dash — who recently generated buzz for an Oscar date with Jamie Foxx — would be “announcing” her new VH1 gig on Friday’s “WW.”
“I’m doing a reality show for VH1 that Sally Ann Salsano, who does ‘Jersey Shore,’ is producing. … I’m really excited,” Dash tells Ms. Wendy.
MoJoe called VH1 to get more details on this big new Dash series. You know, a title, when it’s premiering, etc.
The network’s response? Um, slow down, people!
Actually, what a VH1 spokesman told us was: “Stacy is talking to VH1 about a show, but a series has not been greenlit at this time.”
Translation: We’re talking, we’ll probably shoot some footage — but Ms. Dash shouldn’t blab so freely. At least not yet. If and when we do announce a series in six months or a year, we’re praying Ms. Dash won’t stop talking about it.
Another person familiar with the matter confirmed that VH1 and Dash are, indeed, in early development of a reality show. What’s more, in addition to Salsano, Nick Cannon — he of the married-to-Maria-and-hosting-”America’s Got Talent” fame — is set to executive produce the project.
If, you know, it actually goes forward.
*Even though I have this under rumor alert category it could be true considering Stacey did attend the School Gyrls Premiere. Hmm, wonder what the premise will be? Also The Wrap needs to spell check before going to post #imjustsaying.*

Thats funny! She is fine and all but do we really want to see a Stacy Dash reality show?? What the hell will it be about?? Her going on castings and shopping around LA! These trends are NOT interesting anymore. #nothating #just statin
If we watch all this other crap reality shows like Flava of Love, For the Love of RayJ, Monica Still Standing and I love New York surly there is a place for her show. I think if they put a Steve Harvey spin on it like living out the principles of his book, "Act like a Lady Think Like a Man" it would be excellent! So go ahead Hollywood steal my idea like you always do! And please, Wendy Williams and others, stop hating on Stacey Dash…she is sweet and real, refreshing in the fake times we live in!
