It seems as though the Critic’s Choice Awards has finally seen the light! (Let’s hope The Emmy’s are next)
The annual awards show has chosen to nominate Nick in the “Best Reality Show Host” category. His competition is TEd Allen (Chopped), Tom Bergeron (Dancing with the Stars), Anthony Bourdain (Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown), Carson Daly (The Voice) and RuPaul (RuPaul’s Drag Race).
No offense to the other nominees but Nick is head above the best of the bunch. None of the other hosts with the exception to maybe RuPual go all out the way he does.
America’s Got Talent is also nominated in the “Best Reality Competition Series” category. AGT’s competition is MasterChef Junior, RuPual’s Drag Race, Skin Wars, The Amazing Race and The Voice. I truly hope AGT wins not just because of the people who work hard on the show every year but also this past season has some of the best talent and performances on television bar none and that should be celebrated on a grand scale.
The Critics’ Choice Awards used to hold separate ceremonies for television and film. Beginning earlier this year, however, they were combined into one event. Still, the nominations for the upcoming awards show are being delivered in two parts, with the TV categories getting unveiled first.
T.J. Miller will host for the second time, with the live broadcast airing on A&E on December 11. And for any just clear any confusion: The Critics’ Choice Awards held its 21st annual ceremony back in January of this year, and it was ostensibly the 2016 show. That is until the 22nd event was moved up to December, making it the 2016 show… again. Check out the full list of the new nominations here.
