While Mariah Carey may not be pregnant YET, she and hubby Nick Cannon are definitely talking kids!
“Family is important to us. We plan on having kids in the future,” the 29-year-producer raved of his wife of nearly two years at the APCH Stars & Strikes celebrity bowling and poker tournament in Los Angeles March 10.
Children seem like an excellent idea for these two, especially as they seem to be so completely in love. While Nick simply smiled when we asked if babies were on their way ASAP, he did gush how beautiful his wife is.
Although he joked that Mariah, 39, would need two weeks to prepare for the Oscars, he told us it actually took the songbird “twenty minutes” to get ready because, “she’s so beautiful, that’s all she needs.”
Everyone altogether now: awwwwwwwww.
But just how has this A-list couple managed to have such a successful union? “Marry your best friend,” Nick advised us.

Thursday, March 11th, 2010Hollywood came to play last night at the Stars & Strikes bowling and poker fundraiser to benefit the non-profit youth center A Place Called Home, which gives inner-city kids a place to go to study, play sports, or practice the arts.
On The Red Carpet caught up with American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, as well as singer Jason Derulo, and comedian Nick Cannon, who came out to try their luck and support the cause.
“It is a great organization that keeps kids off the street, keeps them off drugs, helps them figure out what other things there are to do in life like music, dancing, reading, theatre, instead of being idle,” said DioGuardi. “It’s a great place for them to go and engage in something positive.
The event was held at PINZ Entertainment Center in Studio City, CA on March 10, 2010.

Saturday, February 6th, 2010Nick Cannon firmly believes in the power of positive thinking. Ask the 29-year-old how is various achievements came about—successful stand-up-comic at 15 years old, staff writer for Nickelodeon’s All That and Kenan & Kel at 17, CEO of his own production company NCredible, chairman of the TeenNick cable network, host of NBC’s America’s Got Talent and a daily radio show, and loving husband to one of the most famous women in the world—and he’ll tell you he willed them to happen by telling the Universe what he wanted.
“I truly believe in speaking things into existence,” says Cannon. “Not to get all Tony Robbins, but you speak it, and it can definitely happen to you.” It may sound like so much New Age hokum, but it seems to be working. After garnering fame on Nickelodeon, Cannon landed a breakout role in 2002’s sleeper-hit Drumline. He was labeled the next Will Smith, but his follow-up films (2003’s Love Don’t Cost a Thing, 2005’s Underclassman) flopped. Rather than falling into straight-to-DVD obscurity, however, the former It boy has embarked on one of the more surprising second acts in entertainment industry. /meet Nick Canon: mini-mogul. “He could almost be a combo of Jay-Z, Dick Clark, and David Geffen,” says MTV’s President of Programming Tony DiSanto. Adding to his public profile, of course, his marriage to Mariah Carey, whom Cannon calls an “angel”. Says Carey, “He is probably the only person I know that matches me in drive and ambition.” And Cannon couldn’t be happier with phase 2 of his career. “‘I’m past my stage of wanting to be a star,” he admits, sitting behind his desk at TeenNick’s Times Square offices. “To be honest, I’ve always made more money behind the scenes.” (more…)

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010Work, work, work.
Seven months ago, Nick Cannon said whenever he and wife Mariah Carey could manage to squeeze in some downtime, they would work on adding a little one to their family. But when he spoke to MTV News this week, Cannon said that although he and Carey will eventually have kids one day, it’s too tough of a task right now with their schedules.
“We absolutely plan to have a family,” he said. “But we gotta prioritize, because that’s a major, major priority. That’s like the only priority in life, when you think about it, is starting and raising a family. We wanna make sure everything is out of the way and that we don’t have any distractions.”
The two entertainers spend as much time as they can with each other, Cannon said, and when they aren’t together, he stops everything that he’s doing when his wife calls. She’s his first priority, Cannon said. The pair will celebrate their second anniversary in May.
Currently, though, Carey is touring in support of her most recent album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and Cannon is busy hosting “America’s Got Talent” and green-lighting TV shows.
“She’s on tour right now, I’m doing a bunch of stuff, so eventually we want to be able to say, ‘It’s time to have a kid,’ and set everything up,” he said. “But we’re definitely moving toward [having children]. We got our house in L.A., and we got a house [in New York], established and close to schools. So we take all of that stuff into consideration.”

Mariah Carey has earned 5 Grammy Awards and is ranked the best-selling female artist and has the most number-one singles for a solo artist in the United States. This amazing R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress still finds the time to support charitable causes. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, turn the Board over and you’ll see Nick Cannon, actor, rapper, and television host of America’s Got Talent’s autographed artwork. Nick’s film credits include Drumline, Love Don’t Cost a Thing and Roll Bounce. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had great fun designing the skateboard deck on this auction as you can see in the photo taken of them while they were designing the board!
Proceeds from this item will be split with Hella Epic. Hella Epic was honored as our “True Originals” in October. Hella Epic, founded by three high school students, has donated nearly 200 skateboards to children who would not otherwise be exposed to the sport of skateboarding. They believe that skateboarding gives kids an athletic activity to take part in that helps their health and forges a community with other skaters, preventing them from seeking out a brotherhood on the streets.

When she wasn’t dodging paparazzi while visiting Aspen on Monday, singer Mariah Carey was brightening the day for 35 abused and neglected kids.
Carey rented the city-owned Aspen Recreation Center for four hours Monday afternoon to throw a party that the invited youth probably won’t forget.
“This is an opportunity they haven’t had before,” said Judé Liguori-Oliver, child protection services administrator for the city and county of Denver. “Many of these kids haven’t been out of Denver. A lot of them haven’t been in the mountains.”
The kids scurried up the recreation center’s climbing wall, swam in the pool and floated on the Lazy River, went ice skating, and were entertained by jugglers, magicians and storytellers, some of whom were dressed as elves. All of the kids were between ages 9 and 12. The child protection services department is working to get the children in safe and permanent homes — with their families whenever practical.
After playing at the ARC, the kids got a visit from Santa Claus, who was accompanied by Carey and her husband, Nick Cannon. The trio pulled up in a sleigh on wheels pulled by reindeer.
The children definitely knew their celebrity host. “Oh absolutely. As soon as she got off the sleigh they started screaming, ‘Mariah, Mariah, Mariah,” Liguori-Oliver said.
A specially decorated winter scene was created at the ARC where each child got to individually visit with Santa, flanked by Carey and Cannon. A professional photographer snapped their pictures, which each child will receive. On the bus ride home, the 35 kids and 15 staff members watched Christmas movies purchased by Carey. The 16-hour day was well worth it. (more…)
